Arienne Ford, LPC
Late Adolescent and Adult Practitioner
So much can be achieved with the awareness that change is needed and the hope that change is possible. I would like to help you on your journey toward experiencing change, growth, and hope. In every setting and with each individual or couple my mission has been to cultivate and encourage a safe space for growth and healing to take place.
My journey in the field of mental health started in 2012. I have worked with a wide range of mental health concerns in diverse populations. I have worked with individuals, couples, and in group settings that include community mental health, psychiatric hospitals, clinics, and not-for-profit organizations.
What I treat:
Depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, and those impacted by crisis situations. I have a particular affinity for newly diagnosed individuals who are struggling with the implications of their diagnosis.
How I treat:
I am committed to the work of counseling which is to walk alongside you and to encourage the development of insight and hope. I utilize models like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you identify where you have been using unhelpful patterns of thought and engaging in unhelpful patterns of behavior so that you can make necessary changes to get new outcomes. I incorporate tools from Narrative therapy and Solution-focused interventions to help you understand the importance of the story you are telling and which of your strengths can be utilized for better outcomes.
Change is possible. Growth is possible. You are ready.
